4 pack of Pillsbury plain biscuits
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
1 cup raisins (optional)
1 cup brown sugar
1 stick of butter
Combine sugar and cinnamon. Cut each biscuit into fourths and
roll in cinnamon/sugar and place in Angel food or Bundt pan. Sprinkle
nuts/raisins after each layer of biscuit pieces.
Bring butter and brown sugar to a boil then pour over biscuits
and bake 30 minutes at 375 degrees. Turn over on plate when done
so it doesn't stick.
Great with coffee in the AM. Serves 6.
Roy & Clyde: The butter/brown sugar "boil"
didn't ooze down--it just kinda formed a crust on top; it was
not the best monkey bread I've had. Sorry.
Imagi responds: I've never had that happen. The brown sugar
has to be completely melted and the pan must be a bundt pan.
For some reason it won't work in a regular pan.
