Ingredients:
12 chicken livers
     halved at the natural separation
1 ½ cups soy sauce
1 cup light brown sugar
24 thin slivers water chestnuts
12 slices bacon, cut in half
1 clove garlic minced

Make a small incision in center of each piece of liver and insert a sliver of water chestnut. Wrap each with strip of bacon and secure with a toothpick.

Mix soy sauce and garlic. Add livers, cover and marinate in the refrigerator several hours.

Remove livers from marinade and roll lightly in brown sugar and broil until bacon is crisp.

Serve hot. Makes 2 dozen
