Not a creature was stirring, except George Bush and his spouse
For George dared not sleep, the nightmares would come
with sounds of the people beating the anti-war drums
Cheney and Rummy and John Ashcroft too
Were twisting and turning, haunted by what they knew
With visions of deception, corruption and ill-doings abound
Something was stopping them from a sleep so sound
When out on the lawn there rose such a clatter
From their beds quickly they did scatter
They tossed on their robes and guns they did grab
Just in case it was a disgruntled Arab
Instead on the lawn they could not believe their eyes
There were thousands of people, all shapes and all size
From near and far they were all gathered there
Certainly such a sight indeed was so rare
They turned to George with fear they did feel
"Stop them this instant! Make them a deal!"
But George was frozen in fear as well
This was nightmare straight from hell
People from Iraq, Iran, North Korea and Pakistan
Saudi, Taiwan, Venezuela and Afghanistan
Columbia, Cuba, Egypt and Syria too
All stood right there to give George his due
"Mr. President" they all yelled in chorus
Come out here and stand before us!
For we have gathered together to put an end to you
And bring Rumsfield, Ashcroft and Dick Cheney too!"
"For the time has arrived on this cold winter's night
For you to determine a good reason not to fight
For it is war that you hunger, it is war you shall receive
Come stand before us and no longer deceive!"
George stood at the window, not sure what to do
For this was certainly a dream and could not be true
He called for the military to come to his aid
only to find there was none because they had not been paid
"How could this happen Dick?" cried George with a sob
"What have we done to create such a mob?"
Dick looked at George with disbelieving eyes
Has he come to believe his very own lies?
All of a sudden, a sound came so loud and so clear
It was the sound of Santa and his eight tiny reindeer
With a hearty laugh and a jolly Ho! Ho! Ho!
Santa proceed to tell them what they needed to know
"The people out there are angry as hell
and the causes are something you all know too well
To lie, to deceive, to bomb on a whim
Your chances for survival at this point looks slim"
"But you do have to power to make this go away
and I shall help you before I head off in my sleigh"
And with a wink of his eye and a twist of his head
George, Dick, Donald and John had a feeling of dread
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
while George looked on not daring to smirk
and into his bag Santa did reach
And handed George an order for an instant impeach
Cheney, Ashcroft and Rumsfield started to whine
When Santa gave them agreements to resign
Out George! Out Dick! Out Donald and John!
Let the People know that you will be gone!
And from the world there rose such a cheer
And from George's eye there fell a sad tear
And Santa smiled as he flew out of sight
Merry Christmas to All and to All a Good Night!
