Just gotta say, lovely story. It is true to Spike, true to the other characters, too. Not enthusiastic about the garlic bit, but it works in context, I suppose. Can't wait to see the rest of it!

You guys are THE BEST!! I happened to find this link on the MotorCityBuffy Con site. That was last night at 9pm, and I've just printed off the last episode and don't know how I'll live until Tuesday!
My printer has gotten a killer workout!
THANK YOU so much for keeping the characters I love alive and all you are doing!
Michelle 2-2-05 4
I think Xander and Spike getting stuck together is hilarious! What an idea to stick those two together! It was nice to see Xander being fair to Spike for once. He never ever seemed to give the poor guy a chance in the TV series, even up until the end. And the idea of Spike dragging along luggage is too much! lol. Is there anyway you can show us what he looks like in one of those suits in another episode? That would be great! Again, you really are great writers!
Sandy 1-30-05 4
Just found your site, read your story, and (of course) am already hooked! Can never get enough of Spike, and like very much how you're pulling other characters into the plot. Thank you for not giving up, too!

I'm so glad I found this virtual top sites directory and found out about this Spike: Soul Survivor series. It is absolutely fantastic! Really well written. Interesting ideas. Good characterization. Highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't read it yet. I stayed up all night reading. Just couldn't stop till I finished it. Can't wait for more.

Keep up the good work, I'm enjoying this series very much. I like watching how Xander and Spike interact and how they're trying to behave and be nicer to each other. Can't wait to see what further adventures they get into!
P.S. I really like the graphics as well, nicely done and they help give a "real" feel to the stories.
Wendy (The Gutter) 1-29-05 4
I am so enjoying this story. The characters and the dialogue is so real, it's just like having the TV show back - only better IMHO. Thanks for all your hard work.
Elena (Moscow Watcher) 1-29-05 4
Thank you!
Love the story. Great illustrations. Very convincing idea about [super concentrated] garlic as the means of [incapacitating
the vampires]... I really like Mena and I was glad to meet Clem again.
Sandra 1-28-05 4
Great episode! I wanted Spike to stay --- a place where he would finally be recognized and held in esteem! Lovely, lovely artwork. It must have taken days to find the right images, let alone actually create the manips! I can't wait for the next episode.

I'm watching Lost…but it just doesn't resonate for me the way BtVS and AtS always did. I don't care as much about the Lost characters. I was so excited when people … discussed the idea of writing this Spike series, and then when the project really happened, and is being so well written, well, I'm just a very happy camper. It's ALMOST like the show is back on the air -- especially with all the images. The graphics at the top of the episode pages have all been great, and I've been enjoying the images at the bottom of the episode, giving us a hint about what's to come. Oh, and those questions, asking what might happen next, are really a cute idea, too, kind of teasing us readers into speculating before the next episode comes out.

And I gotta say that all the extra images within the story that these last two episdoes have added---Wow! They are really great. You guys seem to find just what you need from the TV shows and then you turn them into what you need them to be to illustrate your new series. Just fantastic. I admire your skills!

I've enjoyed all 4 episodes so far. My favorite was probably Part I of this current storyline because I'd been dying to see how you'd handle the phone call from Spike about what happened at the end of Not Fade Away, and especially the reaction of Dawn & Buffy to finally find out Spike is alive again. And you guys did not disappoint me! Spike & Andrew's first phone call was great; you had Andrew down perfectly! I got a bit of a lump in my throat reading Dawn's apology to Spike and talking about regretting what she had said to him in Season 7, and Buffy reacting to Dawn saying how "regret sucks". That was smart and so telling of Buffy's inner thoughts. Oh, before I move on to Buffy, just want to say that I could also hear Dawn's voice in my head, so you guys got her character down well, too.

Anyway, then when you finally put Buffy on the phone with Spike, it was just so believable and lovely. I actually got tears in my eyes as I read that part. Beautiful job! And since you made such a point of why they needed to cut that phone call short, and they promised each other to have a long, "in-depth" talk when they finally meet in person, now I can hardly wait for that episode. I hope it will happen sometime soon because I really want to read how you're going to write that scene. You're doing such a great job at keeping all the characters sounding like they should and reacting the way that they would. If I sound like a grateful, happy reader, that's because I am one. I think you guys are doing a great job!

It was a good idea to have Xander be part of Spike's new team. They can be funny together, even when they're not getting along. And I get the idea that you are going to gradually turn them into actual friends, which will be great. I'm already starting to like Xander again, which was kind of hard to do during some of Season 6 & 7. Thanks for giving me the chance to like him the way I used to in the earlier seasons of the show. And I'm also hoping you will sort of "redeem" Buffy for me, too....she was certainly difficult to like in terms of her mistreatment of Spike, etc. I saw glimmers of the Buffy I wanted in Season 7: when she told Spike she believed in him, even after he had killed people while under the First Evil's control, then when she got the Initiative to remove his chip, and when she held him tenderly as he slept in her arms during Touched, etc. So if you can give us more of that Buffy, I will be so grateful. Because if Spike wants to keep loving her, then I want him to have her, and I want her to make it clear to him that she really does love him. If you aren't going to do that at some point, please don't tell me, because I'd rather keep on hoping that you will...someday. Even though, I gather, Buffy is not going to be a regular in your series...at least, this season. I'm hoping she will be a recurring character???

Anyway, I did enjoy Part II as well. Liked all the banter, especially the very Xander-y bits. I really liked the conversation between Xander and Tori a lot. Hope Xander really does think about what she pointed out to him as far as Jesse and Spike are concerned. It was fun to see Clem again, and he does have the perfect job for his sensibilities, doesn't he? Loved his shirt, BTW! I think I'm beginning to like your new Slayer, Mena, too. I found the stories of all the Gilroy vampires very interesting, and got a chuckle out of Spike and Xander referring to them as 'Gilroids'. What you came up with for explaining the differences in vampires' demons was also very interesting and made a lot of sense. Very good idea! And lastly, for selfish fan-girly reasons, I'm so glad you gave Spike a new wardrobe at the end of this episode. It will be great to visualize him in my mind in some of those new clothes, especially the blue silk robe and the lovely suit! You have got to find an opportunity to put him in that charcoal grey, pin-striped suit!

Okay, for never having posted a message before, I think I've gone a little overboard here. … I've read all the feedback posted on your website. Almost all of them are absolute raves! Even the couple who mentioned one thing or another in a negative way, ended up saying other things that they really liked. I suppose you're bound to get a "flame" at some point, but if you do, don't let it bother you. It seems like the vast majority are enjoying your series like I am. Please keep up the good work.

Your fan, Belinda

This has been so delightful. I am enjoying this so much. I want to thank each and every one of you who have put in so much work---those of you doing the writing and those of you doing the drawings of the pictures! I love what you guys have done, so we can continue with our Spike saga.

The idea of bringing Xander into it was brilliant. I always thought Xan
and Spike could have gotten along, and I like the two of them working together. And Mena, Clem, and, of course, Buffy, Dawn and Giles. I can't wait to see or read futher adventures of the new workers for the good.

What lies in wait in Colorado? ... Can't wait for Feb 8, but I will have to. I now live [near] The Big Easy, that's New Orleans, and we are in the thick of Mardi Gras. So I also look forward to when the gang goes to The Big Easy.

Connie 1-26-05 4
I LOVE this series! It is wonderful; you are all doing a fantastic job. PLEASE keep going. I do have a favor to ask---please don't let ANYONE break Spike's heart again. I have always thought, since he
was first seen on BTVS, that he just wanted to be loved, and in MHO that was proven to be true. Unfortunately, no one has ever treated him with love and respect. I believe they should have.
I can see your story happening---it is so beautifully written, and I am
very excited about the next part. Thank you for keeping Spike alive. I am a diehard fan.
Nancy 1-26-05 4
Thanks for taking on the task of a "Spike spinoff"!
So far I like the interaction between Spike, Xander and Mena. Mena is good OC, and she's interesting. I'm afraid I don't really buy that Xander and Mena are really useful as protectors, but Spike does make a great instructor for them. Xander is 23 with a smart mouth and a closed mind. He definitely needs some mentoring!
It would be very interesting to work on bringing out some of the inner conflicts and personal motivations of the main characters, especially Spike. So far, it seems like there hasn't been much "breathing room" to develop this because the main emphasis has been on other stories. Xander's "voice" is very definite and just right, but I'm not getting the same clear picture of Spike as of yet.
Original characters are always a tough sell in fan fiction, and too many original characters at one time in anything is a distraction away from the main story. Action sequences in written literature are also problem children--what takes 5 seconds to present in film takes considerably more time and exposition in fiction. I'm hoping future episodes have a lot more concentration on the main characters.
The last episode seemed to foreshadow more involvement with Buffy. Too bad! I'm definitely more interested in seeing Spike get a life of his own.
Thanks again for your efforts! I'm 100% behind anything that's All About Spike, and this is really showing promise!
Roslyn 1-26-05 4
Hi Jan. Have just read this. It's great. I really love the pictures; they add so much to the story. I like how Xander and Spike are getting on, and how Spike is being treated well and appreciated. Of course I should expect it from the team writing the story, but it's being done well and cleverly.
I was a little worried about the bikes being sold to raise funds, because they were all stolen, but I suppose their owners are all dead and it *is* Gilroy. I hope we'll be treated to pics of Spike in some of his lovely new clothes!
You are all obviously working hard on this project. Your efforts are much appreciated by me, and I hope by lots of other readers too.
Kathy W 1-26-05 4
Took me 2 days to get through it because of constant interruptions, but it was definitely worth it. I loved the references to Ghost of the Robot. And Clem is always great. Interesting new vampire lore with the possibility of a future homebase for our erstwhile travelers. Kudos. Keep up the great work.
Love the series. I forgot to mention how cool the artwork was. Really neat that you guys went to all that trouble and detail.

Soul Survivor is AWESOME!
Thanks so much for keeping my favorite characters alive!!!! I’m hoping for a Spuffy reunion sometime soon. J
Linda 1-25-05 4
I just read their 4th episode that went up today (Jan. 25), and I've loved all 4 so far. I think this is the best of all the virtual series. If you haven't read it yet, you really should give it a try! The last 2 episodes have included fabulous illustrative images within the text of the story. Very cool! Hope they stick with this project, cause so far, it's keeping me anxious for more. Can't wait for the next one!
Brian (VS Index) 1-25-05 4
This series is bloody brilliant! Of course, Spike is my favorite character, but the thing is, these people are really doing the guy justice. Great writing and great plotting. The characters all talk and act true to themselves. The images on the site are fun, too. Two thumbs up!
Exoetdus 1-25-05 4
Thank you, guys ! It's great to read Spike's new adventures; very cool! Buffy is so bossy, lol, poor Spike !
Lyn 1-25-05 4
Just a note to say I am still following happily along and looking forward to more. I liked the way you worked a reasonable premise for the ep's storyline in. I also really appreciated the manip's you put
in here & there. The illustrations move the whole thing along and kudos for the extra work entailed in their inclusion.
Thanks again for feeding my Spike addiction.
KathyW 1-25-05 4
Just wanted to let you know that I finally had time to go to the site...I've printed everything out and read quite a bit already....haven't had time to leave feedback yet, but I will! I've enjoyed the stories, and actually have some visual pics in my mind. Very good!
Carol 1-25-05 4
Honestly, guys, this story is one of the most well-written stories I have read. It is full of new and interesting characters. I can't believe how long your chapters are! And you know I love your illustrations. I am so very impressed and thank you so much for sharing your talents. Until the next chapter..

Subject: lovin' your series
I like the way you meld new characters into the mix and the Swahili was an especially nice touch.

LM Pihl 1-25-05 3
Loved it…Brilliant continuation of a brilliant and complex character …keep going…can’t wait for the next installment…
Grr Arrgh!!!
Lizz 1-23-05 3
The beginning had some glaring problems. The section regarding Spike being alive and Angel's demise really lacked emotion! However, by the time I'd finished, I thought it was well done. I really loved the pics; especially the pay phone one with the 7-eleven sign-LMAO! I also thought you nailed Dawn, Giles, Andrew and especially Xander's
personalities to a 't'!!!! I'm liking Mena, so far, especially how nice of a merge between Buffy and Kendra she is!! And, most of all, you really found your footing with Spike again by the end!! I don't remember the 'council' being called COW before; very funny! And don't think that the irony of them meeting in a city known for 'GARLIC' was wasted. Lastly, the plaque at the front of the Mission was the most beautiful touch--Bravo!!
I'm glad to keep up with Soul Survivor, with impending hand surgery--it's nice to be able to read. THANK YOU FOR KEEPING SPIKE 'ALIVE'!
Karen P 1-19-05 3
All I can say is - can you write faster? The whole concept is wonderful and would make an incredible series. Is it possible to get Joss to read it? :)
At any rate, I'm enjoying every bit and can't wait until Jan. 25th.
Fran 1-15-05 3

Hi Jan, I enjoyed this. I know you like constructive criticism, so here goes - I felt that Xander accepted Spike too quickly and had regrets that I didn't see coming about his treatment of Spike - in BTVS. I do think that they could have become sort of buddies but felt that it was a bit quick - needed more time to move towards it. Just a personal interpretation as I also began to think Wood and Spike could be good mates ( especially rafter the LMPTM commentary - maybe I was channelling the actor here)
I also felt that there was a bit too much introspection from Spike in the middle - got a bit slow ( attention deficit girl here, however).
Loved the pictures, and all slowness was redeemed when we got the new Slayer action. That dragged me back in and left me wanting more good ending.
Liked the Andrew conversation - sounded like Andrew - a bit annoying, but that's fine with me; that is the role of the character. Spike and Buffy worked as well - that must have been difficult to write. Also the priest interaction, set it up nicely.
Favourite bit - the end.
Favourite picture - the leopards.
Fanfic is entertainment and this fullfilled its role,

Thanks,
Fran

You guys are doing a grand job. I hope you're getting the credit you deserve. I'm already wondering about what Eve told Spike. Are the others NOT really dead????
Can't wait 'til the next episode!

Great chapter - handled the Buffy Spike stuff well.
I loved your "illustrations"! They are awesome!
nmcil 1-11-05 3
Congratulations on your project - everything is first class, from the site layout to the writing - enjoyed every minute of my stay. Love the graphics and all the artwork. Once you get going a little while longer, I would like to post some of the artwork on my Whedonverse Online gallery. For now, I will post a link and tell everyone I know about the series.
BRAVO again, you all did a fine job - and I am so happy to find these writers.
Michelle S 1-11-05 3
I have no criticism, constructive or otherwise. I just want to say that I really enjoy this series and am grateful that you are all taking the time to write it.
Rooibas 1-11-05 3
Bringing Spike and Xander to work together was brilliant. I await eagerly to see how well they will settle their differences. I was always disappointed that ME didn't explore the friendship between the two. The scenes with Buffy, Dawn and Andrew were excellent; they brought a tear to my eye. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite fics.
Roslyn 1-11-05 3
I just read it. This is excellent stuff, Jan. It's like watching TV. I can picture everything. You have all managed to give enough detail so the reader can do that. And the characterisations are great. The words are just right for the known characters. I enjoyed the conversation between Buffy and Spike, and very much look forward to their meeting in due course. But in the meantime, the story is very entertaining. The idea of putting Xander with Spike is wonderful. I look forward to the 25th.

Thanks so much to all of you for doing this.
Susan 1-11-05 3
Spike--Soul Survivor is just outstanding and I look forward to future episodes. Thanks very much!
Kathy W 1-11-05 3
I was so happy to wake up and remember that today was the day that I got the next installment. Having read it, my day has just gotten better. I always loved the chemistry (in a totally non-sexual way, okay maybe little UST) between Xander and Spike. The phone call just about had me crying. This is really great, and again, thank you all for continuing on with our intrepid bleached blonde hero (I can only take the word "champion" so much after it's overuse on Angel).
Claire 1-11-05 3
Wow, that was great! Loved the conversation between Buffy, Dawn and Spike. Tickled to see Xander and Spike working together.
And the pictures were wonderful. It is like watching a new tv series.
You all are the best.

OK, I am hooked on your new Spike series.
While I would have loved to see a Spike/Faith TV series I doubt it would be as good as the one you are doing. The reason is simple, you do what you do out of Love for Spike and the TV execs don't care about Spike or Story but just cost and ratings.
Thank you for keeping Spike alive.
Lizz 12-23-04 1/2
Have to say, this is a wonderful project, and I'm soo happy you all are doing so well. I hope to contribute soon, probably after the holidays.
So, very concerned when you brought my least favourite character, Eve, into the story. However, you ended up writing her soo well; and especially Spike's good judgment to be wary of the 'stupid bint'. I was also concerned about Connor; but once again you wrote it in such a way, that it's all meshing very well.
Absolutely love that Spike still can't catch a break!! The poor guy's had rotten bad luck before he was evil and the more 'non-evil' (couldn't find the right word here-sorry) he gets, the more his luck sucks!
Oh, finally, the old "Batman"-esqe epilogue was adorable; please keep those in!
Mary 12-21-04 1/2
I'm already a fan of Soul Survivor, and as James says, "You rock, guys"!

Fantastic guys! Fabulous! Great!
I hope the next episode will be very original, and I hope Buffy will be less bitchy than before. I doubt you will put Buffy and Spike together already because Buffy is not worthy enough for him at the moment, but later perhaps...
Illyria 12-18-04 1/2
I just finished reading Never Give Up Parts I and II and I have to say that it is absolutely fantastic.
A key element in fanfic is keeping the characters true to form, and this you have done very, very well while moving the story along. Spike, Conner, Anne and Eve all jumped right off the screen at me full blown and familiar.
The story moved well, and I really liked the interaction between Spike and Colin, and hope to see them reunited again - maybe when Spike retrieves his duster.
Nicely done, ladies! Looking forward to the next installment.
MJ 12-18-04 1/2
I really enjoyed reading the continuation from the end of the series and can't wait now for the next ones. Great writing job.

The beginning is strong: well-written and densely plotted. Obviously there is a conspiracy around Spike and it is great : conspiracy is the best way to move the plot forward. Spike is well-written, although I miss his "love's bitch" part - but as "AtS Spike" he's perfect. Thank you for your efforts.
It's a magnificent project.
And – can a girl ask a bit of Spuffy?

Joan (lurker on BAPS) 12-17-04 1/2
I just finished your first offering and I enjoyed it so much. Thank you for all your hard work. It's such a relief to read this and know I don't have to worry about Spike being mistreated in this season (for once). I was even really happy to find I enjoyed Connor's appearance in this episode. I'm hoping any other characters we meet from the Buffyverse will be treated the way ME should have treated the characters - which is the way I think you have treated Connor. I would so love to see a scene where Buffy admitted she was the abusive spouse to Spike and that even if she can't love him, she can respect him (the way I thought things would be after Glory tortured him and he refused to give up Dawn to her) and honor what he did to save the world. Much as I wanted Spuffy, I would have been happy just to see that. I'll be thrilled if I eventually see it in Spike's show. But it really is a relief to read this knowing Spike will probably suffer but his character is not going to be trashed any more. Thank you for doing this. I've missed being able to watch "Buffy" and "Angel" so much this season.
Caz 12-17-04 1/2
Thankyou all for writing this series. You've made a very strong beginning - I shall be following with great interest.

Well, I already sent feedback from the site itself but I'll put in a plug here as well. This opening is excellent. The mark of the masterpiece - I know you put a great deal of work into it - but you don't see the work, you just see a website that is easy to navigate, read a story that is vital and interesting and enjoy writing that flows. Proof that all the work paid off. Thank you all so much for doing this series.
Karen G 12-16-04 1/2
Our very own Spike series! We've waited a while for this. I'm really enjoying it so far. I had never really thought about having Ann show up, but it worked well as a regrouping place. Especially with the new little plot device, Colin.
The vampires Mo and Curly! LOL! What happened to Larry?
I'm a big Spangel shipper so the description of Angel's death and Spike's whispered "What about me?" pretty much choked me up.
Hope you guys write us some good, hot, nekkid Spike sex sometime in the future. Can't let all this nice fanfic go to waste on entirely PG ratings! Speaking of sexy Spike, loved the line..."all power and purpose. Just like him..."
Keep up the good work, guys. Looking forward to the next installment.
I was unable to use the feedback link, so just got the addy from it and am using my own email, so please pass it along to all involved.

I just finished reading Never Give Up, pts.1 & 2, and really enjoyed it. It's great that you and your co-writers/creators have gotten this together.
From what I've seen so far, I could easily become addicted to my Soul Survivor fix! I think that it is well written, and it certainly has me interested in what is to come. I also wanted to say that I like how you guys are writing Spike. You've done a great job at showing his strength, kindness and intelligence!
Keep up the great work! I'm looking forward to the next ep! :)

I'm hooked, can't wait for episode 3! Thank you for keeping Spike alive!
Kathy aka Spikespet2002 12-16-04 1/2

First of all - thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! Great to have a Spike series finally. I got through Never Give Up much too fast, and now I'm stuck waiting for more.
I like that Illyria is still out there and can't wait until they meet up again. She was much fun after the total shock of losing Fred passed (decided not to spoil myself the last season, which was great for the surprise Lindsey entrance, but very traumatic for the Dead Fred).
The writing is great. Only problems I had with it were a couple of "eye of the beholder" issues. Particularly: "Now, that same soul which he sought for her sake was urging him to judge her for her cruelty and selfishness, and that last, lame effort to comfort a doomed man." Not sure that he would have seen the "I love you" as a lame effort and never really got the feeling that he was ever judging her even when they had their oh-so-brief discussion on her using him during Season 6.
Other than that, it was great. Love you bringing Anne back and the fact that she remembered Spike. Was always somewhat peeved that they didn't acknowledge the fact that she and Angel had met on that same episode of Buffy when they met again on Angel - somehow I can't see her forgetting the guy who so rudely insulted her (however true said insult was later proven).
Anyway, that's it from me. Hurry and write more. Need my Spike fix. Especially after learning that James Marsters is going to be at the Vulkon in Houston (but a couple hours drive away) and I can't even come close to affording to go.

Karen E 12-16-04 1/2
Awesome! Awesome! Awesome!
Can't wait for future episodes! Yay! Softie!Spike with Colin! ;) Very cute.

Never Give Up!
Good title and good advice for you and your team of writers. I was excited to see there was going to be a Spike virtual series and was at my computer early yesterday morning looking for the link. You have not disappointed.
A while back I downloaded and printed the Angel: No Limits virtual series and just recently started reading it. It is "soulful" (I mean that nicely....I guess....it broods almost as much as it's subject), and I've had trouble getting through the first episode. I'll stick with it, because that's how I do things; but just a few paragraphs into Never Give Up, and I knew that wouldn't be the case with this series. I've finished Part 1 and felt compelled to let you know how much I'm enjoying your work and look forward to the rest of the season. Now...I'll get back to your story. Good Luck!

Well, you have me completely addicted! My kids are yelling at me to stop reading and fix 'em dinner. lol. Guess they'll have to starve cuz I just have to read the next episode! Thank you so much for doing this for the fans. There's no way we could've waited around forever for Joss to get it in gear and bring Spike back! You guys are great!

This is bloody brilliant. Thoroughly enjoyed the first two eps and looking forward to the next. Excellent writing. I can picture every scene and the new characters. Great stuff. Thank you all.

Total joy! I thought the story was engaging and moved along very nicely. It was so much fun to see the "flashbacks" and renew acquaintance with the characters again - Spike, especially, with yet another new unlife to pursue. It has been a while since all of this went away but, for me, you brought it back with just enough reference to help me place possibly less easily recognizable characters like Sirk. Centering much of the story at Anne's shelter gave the opening a nice focus, imo. It was good to have Colin there to get Spike from his sad "awakening" to a place where he is ready to move forward -- I think he might have floundered a little more without having Colin to care for. A great start!! I'm so looking forward to Spike's next stop and to seeing how he handles the telling of the end of the AI gang to the Scoobies, etc. I really miss AtS on TV, Spike especially - so this is pure delight for me. Keep up the good work - please! Nice job - both Jans!

This is EXCELLENT. I am so hooked. Has part 2 been written yet? I can't get it to come up. I love Spike; he is the greatest. I am a die-hard Spuffy fan, but I'll take Spike anyway I can get him. Joss may be the creator but James made Spike come alive and made all of us fall in love with him. This is really, really, really wonderful. Love it! Thanks for everyone's hard work.

This is a very good start to the series. I liked Spike's interaction with Colin - it's a side of him we only got to see for a while with Dawn. I'm looking forward to the next part.

Congratulations, kiddos. You have captured my interest. I'm an Angel lover, so finding out that he died in that damned alley was sad, but I'm glad Spike (who brought me to this insanity) is living. I'm also looking forward to future episodes. I haven't even one suggestion. The writing was excellent. The story flowed easily. And, I loved how you brought Spike and Connor together. Eve. Never fond of the girl. But I love Anne, so her continuing story was very nice. Good luck. I hope numerous folks read and respond. Thanks. Saltygoodness

Wow, this is amazing. I can't wait for more. I'm dying to see who else you put into this season fic. Nice touch with Connor. Loved the Colin parts.

An excellent start. This looks like being the best virtual series yet. The premise has a lot of potential. A little short on humour so far, but I can see that the situation doesn't yet lend itself to any opportunities for comedy; I hope that aspect will come later.

I am soo glad u all started this....it's been a bit lonely for the spike fiction, and now I'm so glad that I can get back into some good reading. great job.....can't wait for new and old characters to get by. I 'd really luv to get Illyria into this...she was so good and had not nearly enough time to really shine! Good job all!

Looks like a very good beginning to a great virtual season. It is well written and an interesting story line. Thanks for keeping Spike alive.

I have to tell all of you I am so impressed. I love the fact that you guys are continuing where the TV show ended. How you are giving all of us closure. I also love the art within each chapter. This is super cool. I am going to look forward to see what you guys have for us in upcoming chapters! "And last but not least!": I love each and every one of you that is giving us this bit of heaven. No matter what goes down, or up for that matter, I am so grateful for all of you to do this for us. Now I will look forward to the third chapter! Thanks guys for being you.

It's a great fic, but as much as I like it, I would have preferred if Angel and Illyria and Gunn could have somehow survived. I know that this is a website dedicated to being all about Spike, but I feel that if it's going to be based after the series finale of Angel and Buffy, that it should take into consideration my opinion. Keep up the good work.

I just read the first two episodes. This looks like being a great thing! The imagery is very well done, especially since you anchored it in characters who were already familiar. I have a clear picture in my head...can't wait for the next EP.
Whoo Hoo!

Yesssss. It was well worth the wait. I thoroughly enjoyed all of it and it left me wanting more. Good use of Anne and I am glad Spike kept the Viper. Looking for more. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful (hmmm, did I say wonderful.)

Wowza! This is about as good as it gets. I think I've read all the virtual series and this is the best one yet. The voices are right on, the writing is immaculate, and crisp. The story already has it hooks deep and I'm bleeding until Part II becomes available. See ya next Tuesday and counting down.

Just found out about this from More Than Spike. So far, a very interesting and well written story. I've bookmarked this and will look forward to more.
Thanks for writing. Your efforts are appreciated!!!
