Gorbajockey
'Twas Glasnost, and the colonels' toads
Did moan and mumble in the wake;
All flimsy were their moralcodes,
And their interests, outraged.
Beware the Gorbachev, my son!
The eyes that glare, the tongue that barks!
Annoy the socialist, and shun,
Quotation from Karl Marx!*
He took his Russian flag in hand,
Not long the pinkish foe he fought;
He waved it free, from the balcony,
And triumphed, as he ought.
And One! Two! One! Two! and through and through
The 'bortive coup went flippy-flop!
He beat the Reds, and as their head,
He sent them to the cops.
And hast thou ousted Gorbachev?
Send us some arms, you squeamish goy!
He sends decrees, the Reds beg please;
(Let's hope it's not a ploy!)
'Twas Glasnost, and the colonels' toads
Did moan and mumble in the wake
All flimsy were their moralcodes
And their interests outraged.

One odd note on Gorbacjockey, the first two stanzas were
written before the coup.
Deep
Xanadudu
King George the Toured
In Washington
A New World Order did decree;
Since pipe dreams come,
From opium,
Is George perhaps not quite drug-free?
